Trust and privacy
How we handle your data, and how we protect it.
Effective October 30, 2026.
The short version
- We do not sell your personal or genetic data.
- Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Some records are kept after deletion; the Priora Privacy Policy lists each one and for how long.
This website
- What we collect
- What you enter in the contact form or the whitepaper form, and basic technical logs for reliability and to detect abuse of our forms.
- How we use it
- To reply to you and to send what you asked for.
- How long we keep it
- Contact messages reach our team by email, and we keep them as long as we need to respond and keep a record.
- Whitepaper requests
- We store the address you give us and use it only to send you the whitepaper. We keep your address until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to send the whitepaper. To have it removed, email info@polycypherhealth.com.
- Tracking
- This website loads no third-party advertising or analytics tags.
- Your choices
- You can ask for a copy of what you sent us, or ask us to correct or delete it, subject to legal obligations. Email info@polycypherhealth.com.
Priora and your genetic data
The Priora Privacy Policy, opens in a new tab governs Priora. This is a summary. Where they differ, the policy applies.
- Who can see it
- You, and anybody you deliberately share it with.
- Insurers and employers
- We do not share your genetic data with insurers, employers or marketers, and we do not use it to make or facilitate any insurance, employment or lending decision.
- Improving our models
- We do not yet train our models on member data. When we start, we will use it to train, test and improve our own risk models only with your name and contact details removed and only together with data from many other members, and we never give it to anyone else to train their models. Genetic data can never be made fully anonymous.
- What we keep
- Your finished report is held for 7 years in storage no one can delete from. If you used a kit, the laboratory’s raw file is held the same way for 365 days.
- Insurance
- US federal law (GINA) limits the use of genetic information in health insurance and employment. It does not generally protect against use in life, disability or long-term-care insurance. Consider this before you create or share a report.
- Your relatives
- Your genome also says things about your biological relatives.
How data is protected
Priora runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States.
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, using AWS KMS customer-managed keys, with a separate key per data category.
- Names, emails and dates of birth stay out of the analysis engine, which works on opaque identifiers.
- Least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication for staff accounts, and audit logging.
- Two-factor sign-in is not yet available on member accounts.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Regulatory status
Priora is Informational and Research Use Only. It is not FDA approved, is not intended for clinical or medical decision-making, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or health condition.
Priora is a direct-to-consumer service. We do not act as a HIPAA covered entity or business associate with respect to consumer-uploaded data, and the federal HIPAA rules generally do not apply to it. Other laws do, including the Federal Trade Commission Act and state genetic and health privacy laws.
Priora is for adults 18 and over in the United States, and availability varies by state. See where Priora is available, opens in a new tab.
